No need to run to the hills if you're looking for a bottle of vino for your next shin dig. If your're an Iron Maiden fan, you'll love this.
Check it. "Eddie's Evil Brew" direct from the band's webshop.
From the website: "You can have 'piece of mind' that this fine Chilean merlot tastes great on its own or with a very very rare steak!"
It's stored in it's own wooden presentation box. As you can see, 'Iron Maiden Eddie's Evil Brew' is printed on top sliding lid which would make a great gift.
Daniela Pilic of Sweden Rock Magazine made a video of the unboxing of the fourth vintage of "Iron Maiden Eddie's Evil Brew" wine.
And not to be outdone, AC/DC also have their name on a wine bottle.
What's also cool, their wines/bottles are coined with names inspired by their hits. Highway to Hell cabernet sauvignon. You Shook Me All Night Long muscat. And Hells Bells sauvignon blanc. Sadly, they don't have a Whole Lotta Rosé bottle for sale.

Remembering Dimebag
On this date Thursday December 8, we mark the 7-year anniversary of the death of "Dimebag" Darrell Abbott. The legendary Pantera and Damageplan guitarist was shot to death onstage during a Damageplan show at the Alrosa Villa club in Columbus, Ohio in 2004.
Video: I love this clinic/demo featuring Dimebag.
The day after Dimebag's murder, his brother's Vinnie Paul released the following statement:
"With all his greatness and accomplishments on the guitar, Dime will be missed more for his giving personality, charisma, caring for others, love and most of all his HEART!! Twice as big as the state of TEXAS!!!!!!!!!!!! Dime gave it all every day to each and every one of us and our lives have forever been hollowed without him...Thanks to all of you for reaching out to us in this time of our immeasurable loss. REST IN PEACE BROTHER DIME!!!!!!"

Greasy Kulture's New T
Here's an idea for an early Christmas present. Greasy Kulture's new T-shirt, 'The Oily Rag'!
The new design is a lone Wolfe holding an oil can in bone on black. The shirt is hand screen printed onto heavy Gildan cotton tees (S to XXL). The price is $25 and includes shipping.
This is one magazine that should be on your coffee table, or night table in my case. Like to take a look at the mag? You can place an order here.

New 5FDP Video 'Under it, Over it'
Love the new single/video from Five Finger Death Punch 'Under it Over it', from the new CD 'American Capitalist'.
Music columnist Darryl Smyers of the Dallas Observer interviewed guitarist Jason Hook. Here's an excerpt from the one-on-one below.
.
Darryl Smyers: There is a wide demographic of people who go to hear the band live. What does it take to appeal to fans of many different ages?Jason Hook: I think it comes down to songs, personality and performance. There is a lot there for everybody. If you are a drummer, we have a star drummer. If you like hotshot guitar playing, we have that. If you are into bands that are angry, we are certainly that. But we also have melodies and choruses. There is a lot there for just about everybody. We are the eBay of metal.
Love it. The rest of the interview is just as revealing. (click on the link provided for more)

Build Off? Nah, Rip Off!
This is total bull $hit! Anyone who knows anything about motorcycles, (or has half a brain in their head) will see this upcoming television special for what it really is: a desperate ratings cash grab.
It's called Chopper Live: American Chopper - the Build Off. Ha, more like American Crapper: the blatant rip off!
Seriously. Lets just lay the facts out there. Paul Sr. is a tin brasher by trade and originally owned Orange County Ironworks, a fabrication shop.
The Teutuls have never built a bike from the ground up (they do some fabrication, but it is limited to specific builds). They order all the parts they need: buying frames, engines and tins and then have their hired minions slap em' together. Yes, they do 'help' but it's limited to 'on camera' time. Junior has skills, but in no way can they be compared to that of James. He's not in the same league. Period.
And say what you will about Jesse James, people don't like the fact he cheated on Sandra.
His private life aside... the man is one of, if not the best, custom bike builder/designer/fabricator on the planet. Period. Personally I'd rather watch a rerun of 'Shark Week'.
Yeah, I may have seen it before but at least these blood thirsty sharks are real, as opposed to the money hungry impostors after ratings and another opportunity to sell DVD's and bobble heads.

Discovery Channel has pitted the father/son team of Paul Teutul and Paul Jr (from American Chopper) against Jesse James (of West Coast Choppers) in a bike build off.

Happy Anniversary ♠ Ace of Spades ♠
Happy anniversary to Motörhead's iconic album Ace of Spades.
Here's an older post I penned about my 'Ace of Spades' rule. A rule everyone should live and obied by (in my humble opinion).

Dave and Lemmy get Together in Gigantöur
Motörhead and Megadeth will bring it to metalheads across the continent when they headline the latest instalment of Megadeth's Gigantour festival, alongside Lacuna Coil and Volbeat.
The tour will last for a little over a month, stretching from late January through February. Nine of the 24 dates are here in Canada.
Gigantour was originally founded in 2005, and this marks the first time Megadeth have brought its travelling metal fest on the road since 2008.

Noggin' Protector
Need a new skid lid. Check these beauties out (and more on their site) from Hell Mutts.
From their website: "Our liners are professionally sewn and assembled in the USA. All helmet liners include a custom crown piece made to order. Helmet and liner prices include return shipping. We specialize in relining, restoring, and refurbishing vintage motorcycle and snowmobile helmets."
Here's one example of the amazing work they do. This is a liner they received in the mail. The helmet was in pretty rough shape as well.
Yep, this is the finished product. They've dubbed it 'Captn' America'. Sweet!

Killer Yama-bobber
His name is Scott Witherspoon, and this is his kick ass 1979 Yamaha XS650.
The fine folks at Lowbrow Customs spotted Scott's 79' on xs650chopper.com and featured it on their website. Why do I give a rats ass?
From the website: "Some main features of the bike are that it has a wassell style peanut tank, handmade fender made by my dad, previously mentioned David Bird hardtail from Lowbrow Customs, narrowed Biltwell bars, electrics box made from an eBay oil tank kit, 4 ½” bates style headlight, shaved and lowered front forks, pipes made by me, PMA swap and Pamco ignition."
Well done Scott. Hope to see you on the raod... soon!

Well, the bike features a David Bird hardtail (4" stretch, 2" drop looped style), which they sell at Lowbrow. Kool, but thereg's more. Scott is from my neck of the woods and when I see a bike prominently featured (in not one but two websites), I'm gonna' give the man props!
Well done Scott. Hope to see you on the raod... soon!

Motörheadster Post 666
Its Official, I've Hit Post 666! As in 666 (six hundred and sixty-six) is the natural number following 665 and preceding 667. Oh, but its so much more. In honour of those three hallowed digits, a pictorial of numerical proportions.
Take the road less traveled, 666 east or west. I'm sure I'll meet you there in the end.
