Slash & Lemmy

The hermetically sealed wrapper on Slash's forthcoming debut solo album/CD is about to be ripped to shreds.

Ya... this thing has been a long time coming. Simply titled 'Slash R & FN' R, it should hit store shelves 04/2010.

Slash began recording demos for the solo project on 09/30/2008. As you may or may not know, he performed his first solo show at the Quart Festival in Norway, that was in June 2009.

The self-titled record features collaborations with a host of artists including: Motörhead's Lemmy Kilmister. He'll growl out 'Doctor Alibi'.

Other artists include: Chris Cornell, Wolfmother's Andrew Stockdale and Black Eyed Peas' singer Fergie.

.
Slash and Fergie have hit the stage together a number times, including at Slash's birthday. On the solo project Fergie will belt out 'Beautiful Dangerous'.

Here's Ozzy and the aforementioned Slash performing together. Ozzy will lay down the vocals for 'Crucify The Dead'.

Here's what Slash had to say to Ultimate Guitar about putting it all together.

"The idea was really simple in the beginning," Slash said of the project. "These are all artists I wanted to work with - that I thought it would be amazing to do something creative and collaborative [with]. "And I was so impressed with what everyone brought to the table. They were all so committed to doing a good job. And we had a lot of fun making these songs."

Did I mention Fergie was on the album.

According to NME, other vocal performers include: Iggy Pop, Kid Rock, Dave Grohl and Duff McKagan as well as Adam Levine.

Here's Lemmy, Ozzy & Slash in an oldie but goody, 'I Ain't No Nice Guy After All'.

Hey... maybe he'll do a comedy album next, featuring Slash and George Lopez. Maybe he should ask Lemmy to join in as well, he's always got a joke or two up his sleeve.
