I'll Have The Usual Please

In my HO, there is no other band in the world that can kick off a concert like Motörhead.

The boys storm out of the gate, blasting you with a ga-jillion db's of sound and then welcome you to their show. Awesome!

The crowd always goes nuts. Here's another example of their time honoured tradition, "We are Motörhead, and we play rock & roll".

Ya... nothing special right. Wrong.

We're creatures of habit. We know what we want and we know exactly what we'll get when we buy tickets to a Motörhead show.

Look at these guys, you think they want to be razzled & dazzled with pyrotechnics, lasers and huge video jumbo screens with a tight shot of Lemmy's mug (no offense Lem). Hell no! Don't mess with tradition.
.

For example: in the morning some people like a simple cup of coffee and maybe a croissant with their morning paper.

Others prefer a bowl of cereal. Fine.

While some need more of a traditional fare. Breakfast aside, the topic of "best concert opening" proved food for thought. So I've dug up a few examples of other band's concert openings for comparisons sake.

How bout' one of the biggest "show" bands out there, Kiss.

This is how they opened their concert in Halifax. The hydraulic stage absolutely rocks... but it's certainly reflected in ticket prices.

They say Robbie Williams may have had one of the best openings ever seen on his tour.

Admittedly, it is quite spectacular! One of the comments on the YouTube post indicated the opening was great, Robbie however was not!

How bout' Lady Gaga. Ya, another case of style over substance. I hear Brittany Spears concert opening was way better.

And I'd be remiss if I didn't include AC/DC's opener for their Black Ice tour. It's pretty cool. Yes there are way more (I'm not going to bother looking though).
.
Personally, I like to keep things simple, I'll have the usual please.
